My daughter and I took a tour with Capt. Charlie during spring break. It was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip to New Orleans. In addition to exhibiting a thorough knowledge of the animal and plant life in the swamp, Charlie also had a firm grasp on Louisiana history. He answered, with ease, every question asked of him, whether it pertained to the swamp, New Orleans, hurricanes, fishing life, or even Huey Long! Capt. Charlie was smart, insightful and thoroughly entertaining. Even though we took off just behind another tour boat, Charlie was the only one who caught a glimpse of not just one, but two alligators before we ever left the water near the dock. With the help of a few well-thrown marshmallows, the alligators came right up to the boat. We had some great pictures to share with my daughter's 4th grade class, and my high school students. I cannot praise the team at Pearl River Eco-Tours enough. Even the shuttle from the hotel was a learning experience! Everyone was super nice and helpful. After a rough start to our trip, the swamp tour was just what we needed. Thank you so much for a memorable experience.

The "Swamp Tour" with Capt. Neil was one of the highlights of our week stay in New Orleans. It was very informative, interesting & beautiful. Everything you want to know & more. The tour was recommended to us stating that Capt. Neil is easily one of the MOST knowledgeable guides & he is! I would recommend this tour to anyone..

Hi there, My boyfriend and I took one of your tours this past Sunday with Charlie (I hope I'm getting his name right). It was the Sunday afternoon tour. Anyway, we enjoyed it immensely, and thought the guide was fantastic in terms of information and stories. We would definitely do it again if we came back. We are back in Boston now, safe from Ivan, but we are thinking about what Charlie told us in terms of possible water rise levels and its impact on everyone down there. So from Boston: we wish you good luck...we're crossing our fingers that the storm misses the bayou! Sera & Michael Hi Neil, Donnelle and I want to thank you for taking us on the swamp tour with Erin of NorthShore tourism recently. We had a good time, even though the really big gators were in hiding. You offer a very informative and interesting trip. Hope the rest of your season is great. Maybe we will see you again in the future. Thanks again,
The swamp tour with Pearl River Eco-Tours was a highlight of our visit to New Orleans. Captain Neil does an outstanding job, sharing his knowledge of the area's history, nature, and ecology. What made the tour especially enjoyable was that we didn't feel like we were on a tour. Captain Neil made us feel at home like we were on an outing with a friend. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Eric and Suki "My 2 hours touring the Honey Island swamp proved to be more than a boat ride of scenery and alligators, but a rich learning experience of history and the importance of the ecology of the Pearl River and its tributaries. My thanks to Captain Neil for his expertise in handling his comfortable boat and giving us more than we expected of this beautiful and unique area."
